Once again our broad range of products and services has been recognised with a significant order of specialised products. This time we've been appointed to deliver the first of a series of large volume, high and low pressure buffer cylinders for the Royal Australian Navy for use on the ANZAC class frigates.
These cylinders included a combination of seamless steel and fabricated copper nickel cylinders with Hale Hamilton bottle tops and drain valves, all manufactured to specific DIN and shock compliant standards. We were able to source the seamless steel HP pressure cylinders from Chesterfield Special Cylinders out of the UK and we had the copper nickel cylinders manufactured here in Australia. Our Repair and Overhaul team then assembled and tested the cylinders and bottle tops before dispatching to the Navy.
The contract has been ongoing through the 2008-2009 financial year and we expect to make the final deliveries before the end of June.

Chesterfield specialize in large to ultra large cylinders with capacity to manufacture cylinders up to 2000 litres (water volume) with working pressures up to 300 Bar. Many of their products and systems carry NATO approvals and approval for Medical Oxygen use.
